My name is Jorbi J. Legón, a writer of dark fantasy, psychological horror, and dark science fiction. I was born on April 29, 1993, in Caracas, Venezuela. My passion for books and writing began at a young age, when at eleven years old I started bringing to life the worlds and characters that inhabited my imagination. That need to create stories gradually became a way of understanding the world and exploring what lies hidden beneath the surface of the everyday.
This vocation led me to pursue both formal education at a technological university institute and a self-taught path shaped by constant reading, narrative experimentation, and the exploration of different forms of storytelling. Learning, writing, and continually redefining my own creative boundaries is an ongoing process that forms an essential part of my identity as an author.
As a writer, I specialize in dark fantasy, psychological horror, and dark science fiction, with a particular focus on the deepest human emotions and the mysteries that dwell within the unknown. In my work, I explore the darker aspects of the human mind, the fragility of identity, and the connection between what is human and what defies explanation. My stories seek to blend mystery, reflection, and emotional intensity, creating atmospheres that invite readers to immerse themselves and to question.
My main literary influences include authors such as Cassandra Clare, Jeanette Winterson, and the mangaka Junji Ito, whose evocative and powerful narratives have shaped the way I conceive worlds and characters. Music also plays a fundamental role in my creative process: epic and instrumental genres, classical music, and Japanese, Nordic, and American soundscapes accompany my writing and give rhythm to the universes I imagine.
My greatest motivation is to share the stories born in my mind: worlds filled with human nuance, complex characters, and plots that seek emotional connection with the reader. Each story is, for me, an opportunity to convey sensations, questions, and experiences that transcend words. Although my journey is only beginning and I have not yet received literary awards or formal recognition, I believe that the true achievement lies in creating a story that is felt and remembered.
With projects currently in development and a long-term vision, I aspire to expand my literary universe and bring my stories to new frontiers, including English translations in the future. I write with the conviction that every story has something unique to say, and with the hope that, in reading my work, you will immerse yourself in a narrative journey filled with mystery, intensity, and humanity.
